About the Role
We are working with a respected London-based wholesale insurance brokerage seeking a Wholesale Account Handler / Broker to support a portfolio of key broker partners.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for broker-to-broker servicing, placement, and renewals across a wide range of commercial products, including Property Owners, Terrorism, Management Liability, and Engineering.
This is a hands-on position within the London wholesale market, ideal for someone who understands the dynamics of placing business via insurers and underwriters, and is looking to further develop within a technically strong team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support broker partners with wholesale placements, renewals, and technical queries
- Manage the end-to-end renewal and placing process, including market engagement and negotiation
- Gather and present risk information to underwriters to secure competitive terms
- Handle mid-term adjustments and ensure accurate policy documentation
- Maintain precise records within Acturis and ensure data accuracy
- Build strong working relationships with underwriters, insurers, and broker partners
- Stay up to date with market trends, insurer appetite, and product developments
- Ensure all work is compliant with FCA regulations and internal standards
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience as a Wholesale Account Handler, Wholesale Broker, or within a broker-to-broker environment
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products (Property Owners, Liability, etc.)
- Experience working within the London market or wholesale insurance sector
- Confident liaising with underwriters and insurer panels
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple placements
- Acturis experience preferred
- Good understanding of FCA compliance
