We are working with a leading Underwriting Agency looking for a superstar Trainee Underwriter Support. In this role, you will provide assistance and support to the Underwriting Team by handling various administrative tasks. The role involves issuing policy documents, data entry, filing, and secretarial duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the underwriting team with general administrative duties, including issuing policy documents, data entry, and filing or scanning of documents.
  • Support secretarial duties such as answering phone calls and copy-typing.
  • Create and update management reports.
  • Take minutes during meetings held by members of the Underwriting Department.
  • Set up conference or meeting rooms as needed.
  • Liaise with insurers, brokers, and network partners as directed.
  • Ensure that customer service standards align with the company's mission statement, regulatory rules, and guidelines.
  • Complete any additional tasks or duties as requested by the Underwriting Support Team leader.

Experience:

  • GCSE passes in English and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience working within an Office Administration Team.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Previous experience in the financial or insurance industry.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and informatively.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrates a good level of initiative.
