This role offers an opportunity to work with brokers, assess risks, provide quotations, and maintain strong business relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Handle renewals and mid-term adjustments in line with underwriting guidelines.
- Set up and update policy records.
- Respond to broker and insurer partner queries within authority limits.
- Deliver relevant insurance products and uphold underwriting guidelines.
- Liaise with colleagues, brokers, and insurers on coverage and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory procedures.
Experience:
- General insurance underwriting experience, preferably in property, casualty, or financial lines.
- Cert CII qualification or working towards it.
- Experience working in a regulated FCA environment.
- Knowledge of customer service best practices, compliance systems and processes, and financial management.
- Proficiency in bespoke systems and MS Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt, and be flexible.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening, negotiation) at all levels.
