We are recruiting a number of Third-Party Insurance Claims Handlers to join our client who is a thriving and award-winning claims management company based in Cheshire.

Salary up to £26Kpa, excellent benefits including 25 days holiday rising to 30 days with years of service, life assurance x2 salary, contributory pension, Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm working hours (1 Saturday morning in every 6, from 9am – 1pm paid as over-time and you can work from home) a hybrid working pattern upon successful completion of your probation period. As a Third-Party Insurance Claims Handler, you will provide a professional, technical efficient third-party claims handling service defending claims whilst providing the highest standards of quality and customer service. The role will involve the day to day efficient and effective handling of end to end third party claims with an overall objective of meeting our clients Insurer Principal’s requirements.

There will also be subrogated recovery claims to deal with and recovering our clients principals outlay from the responsible Insurer. You will represent the Company in both verbal and written interactions between clients, policy holders and suppliers. A large proportion of this contact is via telephone communication. You must also ensure that the claim file data is kept up to date and accurate through the Claims Management System.

Duties include

  • Principal confidently representing the interface between the client and the Company
  • To investigate the circumstances of the claim and assess all information to determine possible outcomes and cost assessment on each claim.
  • To liaise with external stakeholders to ascertain further information as part of defending the claim
  • To confidently liaise and negotiate where appropriate with the third parties and their representatives to minimise the claim risk and maximise the efficiency, mitigating the third-party claim.
  • To adhere to current processes and compliance requirements.
  • To liaise with customers, insurers, repairers, engineers and others as needed to maintain contact and resolve any issues arising.
  • Identifying and resolving any potential fraud or repudiation.

To be considered for the role you will have

  • Claims handling experience, it is desirable that candidates have third party motor damage claims handling experience as training can be provided
  • Knowledge of liability insurance and RTA case Law
  • Educated to GCSE level including pass marks in Maths and English
  • Ability to demonstrate good customer service & listening skills, be empathetic and patient have excellent organisation skills, good IT skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
