Senior Technical Commercial Insurance Underwriting Manager – Surrey – up to £77,500 DOE plus Benefits
Insure Recruitment have an exciting new role which we are recruiting for a Senior Underwriter to join the Property & Packages division. Reporting to the divisional head you will be responsible for setting underwriting strategy and leading the property proposition forward from a trading perspective across its distribution.
What skills are required to be considered?
- You will have previous underwriting experience at a senior level, with a solid understanding of underwriting guidelines for all transactions (renewals, endorsements, cancellations, etc. within Liability/ Motor/ Professional Risks/ Property), coupled with a solid understanding of the Broker market and the ability to develop effective broker relationships,
- You will have a proven track record in business development within the field of underwriting.
- You will have previous management or leadership experience.
Daily duties include
- Using your trading experience, you will be responsible for setting the strategy and ensuring the business has the correct tools required to achieving New Business targets whilst always ensuring technical compliance is met.
- You will manage all appropriate licensing for the team ensuring they are fit for purpose and at the right level for their individual experience managing personal authority limitations, acting as a focal point for managing the team whilst assisting them on mutual development opportunities to build relationships through successful conversion.
- You will collaborate with Business Development colleagues to achieve business growth in accordance with targets.
