This an exciting job opportunity for a results-driven commercial account handler, who is seeking an opportunity to further develop their career by joining one of the leading global insurance and risk management companies and being a part of their well-established team based in West Malling as a Senior Commercial Account Handler.

Alongside a highly competitive salary, you will have-

To be successful in this role, you will have several years of proven commercial insurance experience ideally gained in a broking environment. You will also have-

  • A broad range of technical knowledge of Property, Casualty, Motor, Cyber, D&O, and PI lines (advantageous).
  • We will consider previous experience from a Broker, Insurer, or MGA background.
  • Risk awareness in handling customer information.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, confidence when building and maintaining rapport, strong planning, and analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Currently holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications, Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Proficient in MS office
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Having achieved a considerable amount of experience and knowledge, your role as a Senior Commercial Account Handler will be focused on providing a quality service, acquiring optimal retention numbers, and pushing for growth where appropriate, alongside-

  • Creating documents for new customers, along with any mid-term adjustments and renewal information too. Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately and entered into the system in a timely fashion.
  • Obtaining renewal terms for customers, always ensure you've explored other options before providing the best available solution.
  • Prepare renewal closings from meeting minutes and ensure cover is bound by the renewal date.
  • Dealing with insurers and customer queries about their policies.
  • Confirming cover with relevant insurers, processing policies, and chasing up outstanding documentation when required.
  • Dealing with account queries and credit control matters highlighting any concerns to account managers.
