This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your existing expertise within the specialist world of title insurance and property-related legal risks, with full product and underwriting training provided.
Whether you're an experienced Property Underwriter, Conveyancer, Solicitor, Legal Executive or Property Law Professional, this could be an excellent next step in your career. Previous Title insurance experience would be advantageous, but it's certainly not essential!
The Opportunity
You'll join an established, knowledgeable team, assessing residential and commercial property-related legal risks and helping clients overcome complex issues that can arise during property transactions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and underwriting property-related risks, making commercially sound decisions.
- Reviewing complex property transactions, title issues and legal indemnity requirements.
- Developing strong relationships with solicitors, brokers, lenders and professional partners.
- Supporting the development of specialist insurance products, bespoke policies and schemes.
- Providing technical guidance and supporting junior colleagues.
- Contributing to business growth, client presentations and product improvements.
It's a varied, commercially focused position offering the opportunity to combine technical expertise, problem-solving and relationship management.
Could You Be the Perfect Fit?
We're particularly interested in professionals with experience in one or more of the following:
Legal & Property Backgrounds
- Residential Property Law or Conveyancing
- Commercial Property Law or Real Estate
- Solicitors, Legal Executives or experienced Conveyancing Fee Earners
- Property Title, Ownership or Legal Indemnities
Insurance Backgrounds
- Title Insurance or Legal Indemnity Underwriting
- Residential or Commercial Property Underwriting
- Property-related specialist insurance products or schemes
You'll bring strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to assess complex risks and build professional relationships.
You don't need previous underwriting experience if you have a strong background in property law or conveyancing. Equally, experienced insurance underwriters with relevant transferable expertise are encouraged to apply.
