Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a Property Claims Handler to join one the of top 5 global organisations in the insurance industry. This client-facing, hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from the office, ideally 2 days in the office in Chelmsford and 3 days from home while serving clients.

Role Overview:
As a Property Claims Handler, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services to clients and brokers. Your expertise in commercial claims handling and knowledge of property and casualty lines of business will be highly valuable.
Ideally, having gained experience in Property and Liability background, you will be collaborating with 5 market-leading insurers in delivering the best outcome, this will involve meeting your clients.
From the beginning to the conclusion of each claim, you will exceed client expectations by providing exceptional advice and support. Your communication skills and ability to balance client expectations with compassion will make a significant impact during what can be a stressful time for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Advise and update clients on relevant events and discussions throughout the claims process, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
- Regularly assess claim status with clients, insurers, recovery agents, and solicitors.
- Provide technical advice to clients, offering guidance and support throughout the duration of the claim.
- Continuously develop and maintain market, insurance, legislation, and technical knowledge.
- Efficiently manage claims and update the system with all necessary information.
- Communicate any additional information acquired during the claims process to insurers and recovery agents.
- Ensure accurate and timely production of claims statistics in accordance with service level agreements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in handling commercial claims and strong knowledge of commercial property lines of business.
- Desirable qualification: Cert CII/Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated expertise within the insurance industry, with a focus on claims handling.
- Strong customer service drive, forward planning, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in administration with exceptional communication skills.
- Task-focused with a keen interest in career development.
- Ability to identify potential risks and seek advice when required, adhering to company processes.
- Strong social skills, with the ability to use initiative when assisting team members.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
