Insure Recruitment are working with a growing mortgage lender who has an excellent opportunity to join them as a Mortgage Underwriter.
Mortgage Underwriter - Fleet - Up to £35,000
Working within our client's lending criteria to assess mortgage applications, you will be technically strong and have a good eye for detail.
The Job Role:
- Underwriters must work to agreed SLAs and be able to deliver a high level of service to customers, colleagues and third parties.
- You must be able to deal efficiently with enquiries and use your initiative. You must have excellent commercial and professional judgement, be fully IT literate and with good communication skills.
- Ideal applicants will have a mortgage underwriting background with at least 12 months' experience.
- Candidates will also be considered with 2+ years' experience in mortgage packaging, advising or administration. Underwriters from other areas of financial services may also be considered if you can demonstrate the right transferable skills. Backgrounds in general insurance or group risk underwriting could be particularly relevant.
