We have a fantastic job opportunity for new and ambitious Insurance underwriters who are looking to further their career in Commercial Underwriting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing applications: Carefully examining insurance applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company guidelines.
- Assessing risk: Evaluating the potential risks associated with each application, considering factors like the insured's health, occupation, or property condition.
- Gathering information: Collecting and verifying necessary documentation, such as medical records or property assessments.
- Making recommendations: Suggesting whether to approve or deny insurance coverage based on their risk assessment.
- Learning from experienced underwriters: Working closely with senior underwriters to gain knowledge and develop their skills.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer software, especially spreadsheets and databases
- A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., finance, business) can be helpful.
