They are seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to join their close-knit team of 7, specialising in household insurance. This fast-paced role focuses on managing the end-to-end renewal process for your book of Household Insurance clients. You will be responsible for servicing inbound enquiries from the web and engaging with warm customers regarding a renewal quote. While product training and sales techniques can be taught, a customer-centric approach and a desire to build a career in broking/sales are paramount.
Key responsibilities:
- Control the renewal process for your clients, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
- Gather comprehensive information from clients and prospects using superb communication skills.
- Maintain and grow your book of business by proactively chasing and securing new business leads.
- Openly discuss renewal terms with customers, seeking and presenting alternative options to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with brokers to gain access to the most competitive terms that align with your clients' objectives.
- Visit clients as appropriate, leveraging your excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
- Efficiently assess and resolve account queries and credit control matters, escalating concerns where necessary.
- Identify and act upon new business opportunities, exercising sound judgement to recommend appropriate solutions.
What we're looking for:
- Insurance Acumen: A good understanding of insurance principles is essential, ideally coupled with a strong desire to develop a career in broking/sales.
- CII Qualified (or Working Towards): Holding or actively working towards a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification (Cert CII/Dip CII) is highly desirable. Full funding towards continued CII qualifications will be provided.
- Customer Centricity: An unwavering focus on delivering excellent client service, always prioritising the customer's needs.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and trust.
- Proactive & Confident: A self-starter with a proactive approach to workload management and a confident demeanour when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Target-Driven: Comfortable working to targets in a fast-paced environment, with a proven ability to achieve and exceed goals.
- Attention to Detail: Due diligence in administration, policy documents, and processes, with outstanding accuracy and attention to detail.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the client market and the broader insurance industry network (London Market, Lloyds, and wider industry) is highly advantageous.
- Ambiguity Management: Ability to actively deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities.
- Continuous Learner: Committed to continually building your industry knowledge and seeking professional development.
- Systems Experience: Acturis systems experience is desirable but not essential.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK.
