Working at the heart of our General Insurance department, you will be responsible for following up leads with clients requiring home and motor insurance.

Our clients Insurance Consultants meticulously plan their day to ensure their diaries are organised in line with the outbound function that supply you with the demand that will assist you to achieve the required number of quotations and sales, it will also require you to generate your own demand in order to create opportunity within your pipeline of new business.


About the role:

  • Provide tailored advice to deliver new quotations for Home/Motor via inbound marketing activity and outbound appointments.
  • Deliver New Business income targets as determined by the New Business Manager or Team Leader.
  • Deliver to targets through self-generated leads.
  • Upsell policies to client needs promoting features & benefits.
  • Take great care in results to achieve objectives consistently and compliantly ensuring best outcomes for customers and treating them fairly.
  • Maximise and manager your own diary of appointments to ensure you operating at capacity.
  • To administer changes to policies which includes recalculating premiums, working with underwriting, update payments and liaise with customers.
  • Handle both inbound and outbound telephone calls from new and existing customers ensuring all customer requests/queries/changes are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all customer documents are sent meeting quality and accuracy standards.
  • Takes personal ownership of any complaints or problems, relating to area of product specialism, personally ensuring a satisfactory resolution is achieved or escalating where appropriate, without delay.
  • Takes personal ownership of customer enquiries and sales leads within their area of responsibility, providing sound tailored advice where required and ensuring we respond to client concerns promptly in an effective and professional manner and be brilliant to do business with.
  • To keep continually up to date with the product and industry knowledge and selling skills as required by the Society.

What we’re looking for:

  • You’ll be outgoing, confident and have some home/motor insurance sales experience, so you’re comfortable with negotiating and overcoming objections.
  • Target driven individual with experience of the Home and Motor industry .
  • It’s all about communication, so you will join us armed with a great engaging telephone manner
  • You will have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • In order to hit your quarterly bonus, you will be target driven and organised
  • You thrive in a KPI environment and get excited when you hit targets to secure your bonus


Hours of work

35 hours per week, Monday to Fri – (9am-5pm and 10am-6pm) (with every other Saturday 9am-1pm (which you can work from home)

A mixture of both home and office working is on offer
