This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Commercial or Corporate Account Handler who enjoys managing complex client relationships and delivering exceptional service. You will work alongside experienced Account Executives, insurers and clients, supporting an established portfolio of predominantly existing mid-corporate business across a broad range of sectors.

The opportunity

Joining a collaborative and highly respected corporate broking team in Chichester, you will play a key role in managing an established portfolio, delivering proactive service throughout the insurance lifecycle and building long-term relationships with clients and insurers alike.

This role is primarily focused on existing business, including renewals, mid-term adjustments, policy administration and insurer negotiations, while also encouraging early involvement in new client opportunities alongside the wider team. Working with a varied portfolio means no two days are the same, providing exposure to a wide range of commercial risks and industries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an existing portfolio of commercial and corporate clients.
  • Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments and day-to-day client servicing.
  • Obtain competitive renewal terms and negotiate with insurers to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
  • Prepare renewal reports, documentation and policy schedules.
  • Process policy documentation accurately.
  • Support Account Executives with ongoing portfolio management and client retention.
  • Ensure client records remain accurate and compliant with internal procedures.
  • Assist with insurer queries, credit control matters and policy amendments where required.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while helping to maintain excellent client retention.

About you

We are looking for an experienced Commercial or Corporate Account Handler with a well established broking experience and a strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance.

You will have experience managing renewals, mid-term adjustments and day-to-day client servicing, along with excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. You will be highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive in your approach.

Experience across a broad range of commercial insurance classes such as Commercial Combined, Property, Casualty, Motor, Professional Indemnity, Cyber and Directors' & Officers' Liability is highly desirable, particularly within the construction, manufacturing or technology sectors (desirable but not essential). Experience using Acturis would be an advantage, but is not essential.
