We are looking for a talented Commercial Renewals Executive to join a dynamic team! If you are an experienced Account Executive or Handler with renewals experience and a broad range of commercial insurance product knowledge then we would love to hear from you! Our client is an independent insurance broker located in Maidstone.

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Commercial team, retaining and expanding the existing book of business and advising them on the most appropriate insurance to meet the client's needs. 

The successful applicant will have experience in commercial account handling for a UK-based broker, this experience would be highly desirable!

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Renew and manage a book of 20+ clients monthly through client-facing and telephone interactions.
  • Complete administrative tasks, such as issuing documents, managing diaries, checking proposals, handling renewals, setting up policy records, creating schedules, and addressing insurer and client queries.
  • Promote renewal benefits to clients.
  • Meet income targets while adhering to FCA compliance.
  • Achieve retention and income targets.
  • Provide quotes for existing clients and generate new business through cross-selling.
  • Contact clients for policy renewals, action policy changes, and perform market searches for competitive products.
  • Administer renewals from initial review to closing the sale and issuing documentation.
  • Negotiate insurance rates with clients and underwriters to maximize income.
  • Manage incoming enquiries and direct them to relevant departments as needed.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3 years of commercial insurance experience 
  • Experience within in a similar role is desired (insurance broking environment)
  • Proven track record of achieving targets / KPIs
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Highly organised and have a systematic approach to work 
  • Good attention to detail 
  • Tenacious in presenting strong sales techniques and skills 
  • Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements
  • Professional telephone manner
