This is an unmissable opportunity for a commercial renewals account executive to join the busy, proactive commercial renewals team of a thriving insurance broker.

Based in London, the position will really suit a motivated and dynamic insurance professional with minimum 3 years’ commercial insurance experience in a broking or insurer background. It demands broad knowledge of commercial products and a proven track record for achieving targets and developing new client prospects.

Acknowledged for providing high quality, specialist personal and commercial products to clients throughout the UK, the company focuses on clients’ precise needs, earning them the highest customer satisfaction and retention rates within the industry.

You’ll be handling all types of commercial insurance renewals, liaising with insurers and clients both pre- and post-renewal. So you’ll need to be a proven negotiator, a strong written and verbal communicator, and a team player who works equally well under your own steam.

A natural drive to provide exceptional customer service and razor-sharp attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to build and develop strong relationships with clients and insurers. You’ll be highly organised and on top of time management. You’ll need current technical knowledge on property owners, tradesmen, SME package businesses, commercial combined, combined liability, contractors’ all risk covers.

Key duties and tasks include:

·       Converting renewal business to meet (or exceed) company targets, and cross-selling.

·       Preparing market presentations for renewal reports.

·       Liaising with insurers and clients pre- and post-sale of renewals, and midterm adjustments.

·       Checking covers, warranties, endorsements to ensure that they match quotations.

·       Handling calls and communicating with clients and insurers.

·       Maintaining day to day FCA compliance.

·       Keeping your manager fully appraised of any backlogs, debt recovery problems or contentious issues in a timely manner and proactively sharing your ideas or suggestions for business improvements.

 

Training and Development

It will be your responsibility to keep track of your own training and professional development. Ideally, you will be fully Cert CII qualified - or clearly on track towards completion. Successful candidates will get full support and funding towards professional qualifications (eg CERT CII) and encouragement to reach DIP status. You’ll get stellar support towards your professional success with opportunities for inhouse learning and career progression within the business.
