Commercial Motor Claims/Client Handler

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our client Schemes & Affinities team, who provide specialist insurance products to Recruitment & Payroll companies, Sports Clubs and Property Owners.

This role provides essential support to the team from the ground up, by allowing you to get involved with looking after clients, growing sales opportunities and working alongside with a fantastic team who will support you with peer-to-peer development.

What you'll do

As someone with exceptional communication skills and a high-level of attention to detail, here's a snapshot of what you'd expect to be doing day-to-day:

  • Speaking to clients, setting up new claims and determining the right course of action from start to finish
  • Coordinating and providing support to clients on ULR processes
  • Providing Risk Management advice, including spotting claim trends and remedial action needed
  • Negotiating claims with insurers
  • Managing client expectations and assisting them to agree a settlement.
  • Acting as a direct referral and training support point for less experienced staff

What you'll need

Must haves

  • Background in Motor Claims handling, including experience within a motor call centre role.
  • Knowledge of accidental damage/theft losses and Third Party recoveries
  • Claims data analysis and provision of client reports
  • Able to communicate confidently to create a good rapport with clients and provide a positive client experience at all times
  • Proactive approach, use own initiative as well as working under pressure as part of a team
  • Confident user of MS Excel (Intermediate Level minimum)
  • CII qualified or studying/desire to study towards the qualification.

Ideal, but not essential

  • Experience of using Acturis would be advantageous but full training would be provided
