Commercial Insurance Executive – Reading up to £35,000 plus benefits
Insure Recruitment are working with a growing insurance business in finding an experienced Commercial Insurance professional to join their existing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for offering a comprehensive insurance service to commercial customers. This will involve all aspects expected of an experienced account technician with the handling skills required, and include quoting and placing cover when instructed, inviting and binding renewals, dealing with mid-term adjustments, broking client requirements within the insurance market and providing assistance in all areas for your Accounts Executive(s) when appropriate. There is responsibility for collection of premium and arranging finance together with credit control.
The role has a requirement to be able to work independently and manage client requirements within the scope of a busy client book that spans all business sectors and classes of commercial insurance. This will include client contact and visits.
There is also potential to support the management of team members – you will be an integral member of the Reading Commercial Team with varied responsibilities.
Key skills and experience required for the role –
Advanced commercial insurance knowledge and experience
Strong and effective organisational / time management skills
Experienced user of IT systems and Microsoft packages including work, excel, PowerPoint and outlook
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced organisation from a change management perspective
The ability to work under own initiative and in many different and challenging environments in a fast-growing business
Recognising when to ask for guidance in considering options and solutions
Willingness to take on a variety of tasks
Ability to learn and understand new subjects quickly, and deliver high quality output within tight deadlines
good active listening skills
