Commercial Claims Handlers

Ref: 4156| Posted: 15th Apr 2024

Are you a seasoned commercial claims handler seeking a fresh challenge? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

We have two open positions for commercial claims handlers who will manage claims from start to finish, with some delegated authority. This gives you a perfect mix of client interaction and autonomy in claim settlement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to provide excellent professional service to your clients and contribute to a leading global insurance company based in Bristol.

The positions are full-time, though a part-time option may be considered. We offer a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office (Monday to Wednesday) and 2 days working from home. If you live near Swindon or Gloucester, you could work from a local office and only visit the Bristol office once a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep your clients informed and up-to-date on important developments and discussions throughout their claims process.
  • Regularly assess the status of claims with clients, insurers, recovery agents, and solicitors to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate any issues, questions, or concerns that may arise to your line manager.
  • Efficiently manage claims and keep the system updated with all relevant information.
  • Update insurers and recovery agents with any new information obtained during the claims process.
  • Ensure that claims statistics are accurate and produced in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements:

  • Experience in commercial insurance claims processing (from FNOL to settlement), ideally 3+ years. (We will also consider candidates from commercial motor claims background as product training can be provided).
  • Ability to identify potential risks and seek advice when needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the initiative to assist team members.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Benefits:

  • Minimum of 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase 5 additional days.
  • Defined contribution pension scheme.
  • Life insurance, which will pay 4 times your basic annual salary.
  • Income protection cover up to 50% of your annual income, with options to increase coverage.
  • Health cash plan or private medical insurance.

At Insure Recruitment, we work with clients who are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace. So, if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification or criteria in the above description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be exactly what we’re looking for in this or other roles.

Due to the overwhelming application response, should you not hear from us within 5 working days then please assume that your application has been unsuccessful.
