As a commercial Account Broker, your primary responsibility is to efficiently address client and insurer requests, ensuring adherence to service standards and company procedures. Proactively seeking opportunities to exceed expectations, you will negotiate renewals with insurers to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, emphasising high renewal retention rates. 

This role requires a proactive approach, dedication to client satisfaction, and collaboration with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the team and the company while adhering to regulatory and ethical standards. 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide exceptional service: Efficiently handle client and insurer requests, ensuring adherence to service standards and company procedures.
  • Cultivate strong relationships: Proactively build rapport with clients and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Drive business growth: Identify opportunities to exceed expectations, negotiate renewals with insurers to secure optimal outcomes, and contribute to high retention rates.
  • Maintain industry expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of various insurance classes and regulatory requirements.

To excel in this role, you'll possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience as an Account Broker or similar commercial handler role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a broad spectrum of commercial insurance products
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure the most favourable terms for clients.
  • Proficiency in client systems and Microsoft Office packages
  • A commitment to ethical and compliant practices
