We are looking for a talented Commercial Account Handler to join a dynamic team! If you are an experienced Account Handler with a broad range of commercial insurance product knowledge then we would love to hear from you! Our client is an independent insurance broker located in Maidstone.

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Commercial team, supporting Directors and Account Executives to ensure clients receive exceptional service in acquiring, maintaining, and renewing their policies.

The successful applicant will have experience in commercial account handling for a UK-based broker, this experience would be highly desirable, however, full training will be provided for professionals trying to launch their careers in the commercial insurance industry.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Supporting the commercial insurance team with administrative tasks, such as answering queries and sharing knowledge
  • Processing vehicle adjustments and other MTAs (such as change of address)
  • Ad-hoc re-broking cases in relation to unique requirements
  • Cross-selling and new business on enterprise cases
  • Managing the diary on OpenGi
  • Handling daily caseloads in respect of incoming post enquiries and emails
  • Maintaining client and customer relations to increase retention.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3 years minimum of experience in commercial insurance
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An organised and systematic approach to work
  • Good attention to detail
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
  • Ability to work to own initiative
  • Proficient with Outlook, Excel, and Word

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of OpenGi management operating system
  • Experience in new business or renewal's role
