Bodily Injury Motor Claims Handler – Brighton – up to £30,000
Insure Recruitment are currently working with a great business who are expanding their claims department and seeking experienced claims professionals to join the team.
You will be responsible for the management and negotiation of bodily injury claims from notification to closure at minimum cost.
Take over and follow through those claims that are identified as having a BI element
Review reserves at each touch to the file and amend if appropriate
Consider liability and if non fault ensure that the recovery process has been put in place
Where liability is an issue ensure early investigation and contact with witnesses to
determine liability and contain costs
Be aware of contrived and low impact claims and liaise with TPI/TPS PH reps
Identify as soon as possible the extent of any injuries to ensure that reserves are
Act in accordance with authority limits and refer upwards as required
Obtain medical evidence at the earliest opportunity to support the injury allegations
Submit details to CRU and keep updated
Proactively obtain information where required and follow up inspections and
Log actions on the memo screen with sufficient information for others to follow
Ensure all actions/promises are followed up and action diary within the timescales
Ensure that all payments are correctly entered
When closing a claim ensure that all actions are complete and the cause code is correct
Authorise and release payments up to own individual authority
Able to negotiate claims both within and outside of the MOJ/OIC portal processes
The Job holder will do all tasks requested within his/her level of skill and ability
To request, record and maintain necessary customer data accurately on all relevant
