They are seeking a highly motivated Client Account Executive to join their close-knit team, specialising in commercial property insurance, with a specific focus on managing relationships with a large managing agent. This fast-paced role focuses on managing the end-to-end renewal and endorsement process for a significant large client who is a leading property managing agent. You will be responsible for servicing ongoing enquiries, handling complex endorsements, and engaging with the managing agent to ensure seamless client management and renewals. While specific commercial property product training can be provided, a robust understanding of general insurance principles, a customer-centric approach, and a desire to build a career in broking/sales are paramount. We will consider talented candidates with strong general insurance experience from other product lines who demonstrate a keen interest in specialising in commercial property.
Key responsibilities:
- Control the renewal and endorsement process for your portfolio.
- Gather comprehensive information from the managing agent and underlying clients using superb communication skills.
- Maintain and grow the commercial property book of business by proactively collaborating with the managing agent and identifying new opportunities.
- Openly discuss renewal terms and endorsement requirements with the managing agent and clients, seeking and presenting alternative options to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with brokers to gain access to the most competitive commercial property terms that align with client objectives.
- Visit the managing agent and clients as appropriate, leveraging your excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
- Efficiently assess and resolve account queries and credit control matters specific to commercial property policies and the managing agent, escalating concerns where necessary.
- Identify and act upon new business opportunities within the commercial property sector, exercising sound judgement to recommend appropriate solutions.
What we're looking for:
- A strong understanding of general insurance principles is essential. Ideally coupled with experience in commercial property insurance, or a strong desire to develop a career in this specialist area.
- CII Qualified (or working towards): Holding or actively working towards a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification (Cert CII/Dip CII) is highly desirable. Full funding towards continued CII qualifications will be provided.
- An unwavering focus on delivering excellent client service, always prioritising the customer's needs.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and trust, particularly with key managing agents.
- A proactive approach to workload management and a confident demeanour when interacting with clients.
- Target-Driven: Comfortable working to targets in a fast-paced environment, with a proven ability to achieve and exceed goals.
- Due diligence in administration, policy documents, and processes, with outstanding accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of the client market and the broader insurance industry network (London Market, Lloyds, and wider industry) is highly advantageous, especially in relation to commercial property.
- Ability to actively deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities.
- Committed to continually building your industry knowledge and seeking professional development, particularly in commercial property.
- Acturis systems experience is desirable but not essential.
- Excel to intermediate/advanced level
