An exciting and ground-breaking new “third way” pathway will help talented account executives on your way to starting your own insurance brokerage and become an appointed representative (AR).
Outstanding account executives are often prevented from taking this leap because you don’t have the start-up capital or can’t risk giving up the financial stability of a salaried role due to your responsibilities and/or family commitments. Now, if you are hungry to start your own brokerage and driven to deliver first-class service to clients, you have a real chance. By helping remove key financial barriers to entry, our client - a specialist insurance broker and national broker network - is launching a unique pathway.
To succeed, you should bring at least 3 years’ experience in an account executive role and currently handle at least £150k of annual commission/fee income. You’ll also be able to demonstrate a good prospect pipeline and a robust track record in proven business development, producing in excess of £30k per year.
Successful applicants will join a 22-month programme as a salaried “Broking partner designate”. It’s a ‘win-win’ scenario allowing you to build up a business whilst preparing to take the full plunge into self-employment.
During this time, you will be mentored by a support team including our AR Network Management team and a direct sales team. In addition to receiving a salary (and attractive commission structure), you’ll also be supplied with an existing book of business and new business leads. Your support team will also help you get your business plan, client base, sales and marketing tactics in place. This will help you progress to a stage where you are market-ready, giving you stronger likelihood of success.
By the end of the 22-month period, you’ll need to hit achievable income targets and milestones, proving you can generate income self-sufficiently and demonstrating that you have all the abilities required to run your own business. If you successfully meet these targets and milestones, you will be offered an AR opportunity.

We are currently seeking account executives who will start in January/February 2024. You can elect to work from home, receiving support remotely. If you prefer to be office-based, you can work in the Leeds office.
