Account Executive (Commercial)

Our client, a respected and growing insurance firm specializing in Property Owners’ and Commercial Insurance markets, is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a proven track record in managing and growing client relationships while delivering tailored insurance solutions.

In this role, you will inherit an existing book of business, focusing on client retention and identifying growth opportunities. Your expertise in property and commercial insurance will ensure exceptional service delivery, regulatory compliance, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Retention: Maintain and grow existing client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty through proactive account management and tailored insurance solutions.
  • Business Development: Identify new opportunities for growth, leveraging your industry knowledge and network to secure new business and expand the client portfolio.
  • Policy Management: Provide expert guidance on insurance policies, risk management, and compliance to support clients in making informed decisions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Account Handlers and the wider team to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Uphold FCA requirements, Consumer Duty obligations, and other regulatory standards to maintain the highest levels of professionalism.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Proven success in managing and growing a portfolio within property and commercial insurance markets.
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding business development targets.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance, including FCA requirements and Consumer Duty obligations.
  • Technical knowledge of insurance products and risk assessment.
  • Experience using Acturis or similar systems for policy and client management (desirable).
  • ACII qualification or willingness to pursue it with company support.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering outstanding client service.
